Who we are
This is a small, independently run guide built around one espresso machine: the Breville Barista Express. There's no editorial team and no sponsored "best of" rotation, just one person who researched this machine thoroughly and wants to help you decide honestly whether it's right for your kitchen this Christmas.
How we pick
Our picks are based on published specifications, our own research directly against brand and retailer sites, and (where explicitly stated) hands-on use. We never invent test results or fabricate "we tested this for six months" claims. Where something is research-based rather than hands-on, we say so plainly.

This site is a small, independently run guide built around one espresso machine: the Breville Barista Express. We earn money when readers click through to retailers or brands and make a purchase, through affiliate partnerships. Those currently include programs with Breville (via Impact, pending approval at time of writing, and covering the machine itself as well as Breville's own tamper and descaler accessories), Keurig (via Commission Junction, pending approval at time of writing), Baratza, Lavazza, and Illy, where those programs exist and are confirmed. If we ever link to a product with no confirmed commission program because it's useful even though we don't earn from it, we'll say so plainly next to that link, with no "sponsored" tag. As of this revision, every outbound buy link on this site is a real, confirmed affiliate link.
This means: when you click a "Buy" button or a product link on this site and go on to purchase something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer or brand, typically a percentage of the sale. This does not change the price you pay. It does not influence which products we recommend or how honestly we describe them: our picks are based on published specifications, our own research, and (where stated) hands-on use, never on which program pays the most.
